264-441 - MEMBERS ONLY SCENTWORK ADVANCED CONTINUING

DESCRIPTION: This class continues to build on the nosework team's search skills in search elements -- containers, interiors, exteriors and vehicles. This class is LEVEL SIX of a six level series. It is intended for dogs preparing for NACSW NW2 and NW3/Elite Competition (or AKC/UKC Superior, Masters and Elite Levels) The complexity of the searches will gradually become more difficult with larger search areas. Searches will include converging odor inaccessible hides, channeling, elevated hides, exterior searches utilizing all weather conditions, timed searches with an unknown number of hides, and searches with Blank or Clear rooms.
PREREQUISITES: (one or more of the following
- Successful completion of Scentwork - Continuing Intermediate
- Instructor permission
WHAT TO BRING:
- Copy of vaccination records
- Buckle collar or harness
- Variety of soft treats
- Crate for your dog
- 6 ft leash and 8-12 long line

264-010 - PUPPY 5-12 MONTHS

DESCRIPTION: For Puppies who are 5 – 12 months old on the first day of class. Besides working on the skills the puppy needs to be a "good household member, this class also includes basic problem solving (e.g., chewing, jumping up, etc.). Most classes use food (soft treats) or silent toys in training. The class includes training on the tasks of sit, down, come, and walking on a loose leash. Exercises to help handler/dog team meet the requirements for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) are also covered.
PREREQUISITES:
- Puppy must be between 5 months and 12 months on the first day of class.
- Puppy must be up-to-date on vaccinations. Rabies is not required if under 6 months.
- A copy of a vet receipt showing the shot vaccination dates is sufficient and/or copy of the Health Form (found on the website (www.aadtc.net) under Class Schedule - Ann Arbor Dog Training Club)
- Must provide a recent negative fecal report within the last two (2) months
WHAT TO BRING:
- Copy of updated vaccination records and negative fecal report;
- 4-6 ft leash; buckle collar;
- Variety of small, easy to eat treats.
NOTE: Please do not schedule elective surgery (e.g., spay, neuter) during the class session.
264-557 - MEMBERS ONLY AGILITY OPEN/EXCELLENT LEVEL

DESCRIPTION: This class is designed for teams competing in or ready to compete in Excellent. The class will focus on refining handling skills and will practice sequences found in the upper level classes.
PREREQUISITES:
- Successful completion of Agility Open Level class,
- Showing at the Open level or Excellent level
- Performing full height jumps and contacts
- Able to successfully complete 12 weave poles
- Able to perform a full course obstacle sequence
WHAT TO BRING:
- Buckle collar
- 4-6 foot leash
- Variety of hard treats (that do not crumble easily)
- Crate for the dog when not working on the course
- Extra pair of clean shoes to be used when training on the turf

DESCRIPTION: This class is designed for teams competing in or ready to compete in the upper level classes (Excellent/Master). Teams will practice sequences found in Excellent/Master courses and will continue to refine handling skills so that they can successfully perform at the upper levels of agility.
PREREQUISITES (at least one of the following):
- Successful completion of Agility Open Level or an Open Agility title
- Competing at the Excellent or Master level
- Ready to compete at the Excellent level
- Instructor approval

Open and Utility exercises are covered in this classes. When offered, this class expects that handler/dog team has completed all necessary training for the exercises at the Open and Utility level and only needs additional proofing/practice opportunities. A proofing/practice class may cover more than one level in same class.
PREREQUISITE: (one or more of the following)
- Solid retrieve with a dumbbell required
- Successful completion of Open class
- Competing at the Utility level (UD)
- Instructor approval
