253-612 TRACKING - ALL LEVELS

DESCRIPTION: T It is to designed to build on your dog's ability to distinguish and follow a specific and slightly aged human scent. Class meets at various locations as determined by the instructor. Sessions generally last 2-3 hours minimum. The first class will meet at the AADTC building. The equipment needed will be discussed at the first class.
PREREQUISITE:
- Instructor approval (Instructor may contact you to discuss dog's level of past training)
- Up-to-date vaccinations
- If your dog can tolerate and your vet concurs, it is suggested that your dog have the Leptospirosis vaccination as you will be outdoors.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Copy of your vaccination records
- Buckle collar
- 4-6 ft leash
- Variety of small, easy to eat treats
- Appropriate outerwear for you and protection for your dog based on weather
253-031 - 5-12 MONTHS PUPPY

DESCRIPTION: This is a 6-week class for puppies that are 5-12 months old on the first day of class. These classes are designed to teach basic control (age appropriate) in a variety of situations with distractions. Exercises taught include sit, down, stand, stay, come and controlled walking on a leash. Focus is on household manners to help dog adapt to family life. The puppy level classes also include basic problem solving (e.g., chewing, jumping up, etc.). Most classes use food (soft treats) or silent toys in training. In this class you will also be taught how to incorporate the clicker as your "reward marker".
NO DOGS FIRST CLASS
REGISTRATION IS BY DOG. DO NOT REGISTER A SECOND PERSON - YOU WILL END UP BEING CHARGED TWICE.
PREREQUISITES:
- Puppy must be up-to-date on vaccinations, Rabies is not required if under 6 months.
- Puppy must be between 5 months and 12 months on the first day of class.
NOTE: Please do not schedule any elective surgery (eg. spay/neuter) during the classe session.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Copy of updated vaccination records;
- 4-6 ft leash;
- Buckle collar;
- Variety of small, easy to eat treats.
253-230 OBEDIENCE NOVICE/OPEN PRACTICE

DESCRIPTION: The Novice or Open exercises are not “taught” in these classes. When offered, these classes expect that handler/dog team has completed all necessary training for the exercises at the level and only needs additional proofing/practice opportunities. A proofing/practice class may cover more than one level in same class.
PREREQUISITE: (at least one of the following)
- Successful completion of Novice;
- Competing at the Novice (CD) level;
- Instructor approval.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Copy of vaccination records;
- 4-6 ft leash; buckle collar;
- Variety of small, easy to eat treats.
- Dumbell sized to specific dog.

253-522 - AGILITY BEGINNING HANDLING

DESCRIPTION: The skills introduced in Agility Foundations 2 will continue to be covered in Agility Beginning Handling. New skills to be introduced include: additional crosses (rear, blind); increasing jump heights; short sequences; sequences with contacts or weaves or tunnels.
PREREQUISITES:
- Successful completion of Agility Foundations 2
- Solid sit stay and/or down stay
- Solid recall when exposed to distractions
- Able to perform a front cross
- Able to achieve a start line stay
- Able to perform a short jump sequence
WHAT TO BRING:
- Buckle collar
- 4-6 foot leash
- Variety of hard treats (that do not crumble easily)
- Crate for the dog when not working on the course
- Extra pair of clean shoes to be used when training on the turf

253-557 - AGILITY OPEN/EXCELLENT LEVEL

DESCRIPTION: This class is designed for teams competing in or ready to compete in Excellent. The class will focus on refining handling skills and will practice sequences found in the upper level classes.
PREREQUISITES:
- Successful completion of Agility Open Level class,
- Showing at the Open level or Excellent level
- Performing full height jumps and contacts
- Able to successfully complete 12 weave poles
- Able to perform a full course obstacle sequence

- 4-6 foot leash
- Variety of hard treats (that do not crumble easily)
- Crate for the dog when not working on the course

253-220 OBEDIENCE NOVICE 3

DESCRIPTION: Continuation of skills learned in Novice 2. Increase to full distance and increased level of proofing, as appropriate. Continued emphasis on precision of Novice exercises. Introduction of off-leash heeling. If time permits, introduction of Open-level skills of retrieving and jumping and Utility signals. Class can be repeated.
PREREQUISITE: (one or more of the following)
- Novice 2 or equivalent;
- Instructor approval.
